October 2025 Council meeting of the Piping and Dancing Association DANCING REMIT **NOTE!**
At the October Council meeting of the Piping and Dancing Association, a remit was presented and passed regarding Bylaw 43.1. A reduction in steps for the following dances will be effective from 1 January 2026.
‘’Sailors Hornpipe: Eight steps.’’ will now be ‘’Sailors Hornpipe: Six steps.’’
‘Sword Dance: Four slow steps and one quick step.’’ will now be ‘’Sword Dance: Three slow steps and one quick step.’’
‘’Sean Truibhas: Six slow and two quick steps.’’ will now be ‘Sean Truibhas: Four slow and two quick steps.’’
